I have a PS4 controller that works and 3 cables. With one of the 3 cables the controller works but the cable has a very strong loose contact with which it is not possible to play. With the other 2 cables, the controller lights up orange once and then goes off again and I don't understand why. I'm at the PC and also use ds4windows but the controller is not recognized there
My PS4 controllers always glow orange when they are actively charging via USB. Then goes to blue when done.
On a PS4, each color then stands for one player. Blue is player 1.
But, DS4Windows throws the color scheme overboard, because games, like the emulator, are allowed to overwrite color schemes. In Red Dead Redemption 2, it always flashes white and red when bounty hunters are nearby - a typical example of game overrides.
The bigger problem is why DS4Windows doesn't recognize your controllers. Presumably the controller just switches off after charging (orange)?
Does your PS4 controller appear under Set up game controllers in Windows? If not, the problem is deeper.
What you can try is to reset the controller. It has a small hole in the back, next to the top right screw, where you can poke a paper clip or toothpick. Hold for 3-5 seconds. Then reconnect to USB and press the PS button.
The controller is not displayed under and I have already reset the controller several times, and nothing brings either
Then the socket will be over for the micro USB.
This also happened to me with one of my 3 PS4 controllers. At first it wobbled a little, and at some point it got worse, up to the point of dropouts. Using other cables partially helped, but at some point I had to replace it.
But almost everyone has an easy game. Is a disease of micro USB. Almost everywhere where the type is used, the cable is not so tight.
Since I disassembled one, I know that the USb unit can be exchanged easily if you have the spare part for it. So pick up. If you break a controller because the buttons no longer work, you can turn 2 defective ones into one that works.
