Pre-order new games or wait?

Borderlands will be out for the switch at the end of May. (my absolute love game).

I definitely want to buy it, but I'm not sure if I should pre-order it or wait. I preordered for Borderlands 3 for the PS4 for 70 euro, meanwhile it costs e.g. At Amazon not even 30 euro!

Do you think that will also be the case with the switch version?

What would you do - pre-order or wait?

Ga

I'm doing it now so I wait. Let's watch Let's Play first. Then decide in peace whether it's worth it or you can just wait until an offer comes.

In general, I've become a fan of it, simply because there have been so many bad purchases.
BUT there are exceptions, for game series that I absolutely love and for games that I simply know will be great (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077 or Ghost of Tsushima), in which case Borderlands would be one of the series that I absolutely love, so it would I pre-order it.

No

Nintendo almost always keep prices up.

A pre-order usually does nothing for the player (or only very little if there's any extra stuff). This is a free loan for the publisher.

Generally there's no longer any obligation to pre-order games to receive them by post on the day of the release. Most games can also be pre-ordered by key / code and redeemed directly without shipping and packaging waste.

At the same time, the code also offers you the opportunity to wait until the real release and thus speculate on a further drop in prices.

Are Borderlands 3 for the Switch currently available to buy / pre-order? I would therefore (unless you want a physical Collectors Edition that is limited) wait until the release day and me to get the game, then.
