I want to buy a ps4 soon, and already have an older PC with a VGA and a display port connection, a monitor that only has a VGA. Now I want to buy a monitor with hdmi and display port. The PS 4 only has one hdmi connection.
Can I now connect the PS 4 with HDMI to the new monitor, which I also connect to the PC via display port. And then I connect the old monitor to the PC via VGA.
With this I want to access the new monitor when only the PC or the PS is on and when both are on, I want to use the old monitor for PC and the new one for the PS. If only the PC is on, it works for both

if you have PC and PS on at the same time, you only have to switch the monitor on the PC.
