Amazon coupon code sent to Instagram users, now blocked?

My son has sent an Instagram coupon code to an Instagram user for over 50 euro and did not get the goods for it (playstation perks). Instead, he was blocked by the instagramer. Can we do anything about it now? Instagram the scam report? Or was that painful apprenticeship for my son?
