Strange problem: Wireless mouse provides sound interruption and sound interference of my sound system as soon as I move the mouse?

But if it is style, there are no problems.

Why is that?

Is a mouse Razer Hyperflux mouse to be precise

The 5.1 sound system is connected via an external sound card (Asus xonar u5) with my PC and that makes such problems now. With the PS4 or the TV receiver, the system works without any problems, even if the mouse is still standing there are no problems… Why?

what to do?

Co

See if there are new drivers.

Le

Everything up to date)

Co

I would not look at it for long.

Le

? What do you think

Co

Buy new eventually.

Le

Nah, that would be mean

Co

Is that right from the start?

Le

Yes

Co

How long have you had the part?

Le

For 2 days, have it now for the first time connected to my pc, reboot, driver, etc. Already tried everything)

Co

Then back with it.

Do you have a link?

Le
Co

It's a fake😂

Le

Fake? How so?

Co

Then quickly return the thing.

Save 20 euro.

Le

Hmm hmm 🤔 ok 👌🏻 but I'm afraid that it is not because I do everything in vain 🤧

Co

Then you have to test on another computer.

En

So and how is connected? Electric wire? If not, can the overlay of the signak come about?

Le

The mouse is wireless, but the mouse pad is wired. If that brings you something

En

And the sound or the soundbar?

Le

So have ne sound system which is connected via an external graphics card with the pc via usb. And it should be synonymous all right sound comes out so everything fits only there are disturbances as soon as I move the mouse back and forth which is very very funny

En

Would both with Bluetooth o.a. Radio technologies are running, it could be indifferences. But I can't think of anything else, or others had already suggested that. Sorry

Jo

The wireless mouse sends radio signals into your USB cables as you move. These interfering signals disturb the sound transmission via USB.

Solutions:

Use another USB port for your sound system on the PC (front or back) to try.

Also use another USB port for your wireless mouse.

Have you ever used cheap bad USB cable or USB extension, use others / better.

Rethink the cable routing of the USB cable, if possible lay the sound USB cable and wireless USB cable far apart and, if possible, DO NOT lay them parallel to each other.

Le

Hmm ok thanks yes makes sense do you think a "anti-interference filter" could help?

Jo

No, a ferrite cored wave filter will not help.
Follow my suggestions.
Possibly. Do not put your sound system so close to your mouse, i. Set up far apart.

Le

Ok I'll do it all today oke everything you said and then I'll write to you if it worked ok

Le

Unfortunately, I have followed everything but… But it has brought nothing 😑😫😩😫

here I've recorded it by video to demonstrate exactly what I mean:

Le

I recorded my problem

I recorded my problem on video

The last hand signal is amusing for outsiders, but quite understandable.

But I think that a signal overlay takes place. Ask friends if a WLAN mouse can be borrowed or if the manufacturers write to them. Maybe the problem is known.

With the router one can set also different channels

Le

Hmm ok thank you i will try😔

Co

The processor will go to 100% and then he will not pack that anymore.

En

I keep my fingers crossed

Jo

There are no noise, the data packets are not processed fast enough, so it stops somewhere in the processing of the data packets.

CPU usage too high? When you move the mouse? In Windows Task Manager or Resource Manager, watch this situation. Does the driver software too high a CPU load (should be pretty scrapy!) When moving the mouse hard?

Maybe there are dips in the data transmission?: e.g. High error rate, therefore, data packets must be transmitted multiple times via USB until all data packets on the other side (on the PC) have been completely and correctly received.

Typical is something, if the USB cable has a bad quality (missing or miserable shielding of the USB cable)?

Or the entire USB cable is just too long. Try shorter USB cables.
Hopefully you have not plugged in multiple USB extensions, or used USB 2.0 cables in between. According to the description of the mouse (which I have read this way) it must be USB 3.0 cable (see the installation instructions of the mouse, if USB 3.0 is required).

Here is what the max. Length of USB cables:

Is possibly Even your USB adapter in the PC overwhelmed (bad USB controller in the PC)? How to determine that, unfortunately I do not know.

Do not use too many USB devices (and also Bluetooth) at the same time via the USB ports on the PC, disconnect USB devices that you do not need for this test.

Turn off all the bells and whistles on the mouse, and try the resolution (dpi) to a normal value (so do not set to 16,000 dpi!). Is it better then?

PS:
Ask the support of the manufacturer (RAZER), who knows this effect and may even tell you directly how to avoid it.

Le

Oha Thanks for the detailed help yes you seem to really know you well so you get the star in any case

So the external graphics card connected to the sound system leads with a about 2 meters long usb 2.0 cable into the pc, unfortunately, the external sound card supports only 2.0 usb 😓😓 so ehmm yes…

and hardware technically everything would have to be ok because I'm doing all this virtually on a current laptop…

but you know what 🤧 … I… Do not know… If I can somehow limit the problem but… I've tested something… Today… So I thought that the problem occurs everywhere but when I tested it in Windows… There were no problems… The video with the dropouts was only in macOS so that was not a Windows I still have today's video for Windows turned and lo and behold… It works 😓😓

Stupid way, I hardly use Windows and it's not synonymous hmm so it must be a problem with macOS then 😓😓

Jo

Graphic card? Via USB 2.0!
This is certainly the culprit, because the data rates of graphics cards are very high, which strain the USB controller particularly strong, so that your mouse almost nothing left over, so bring the mouse movement the USB 2.0 controller to the stop, the result is delay.

Maybe you can try to reduce the resolution or color depth of the graphics card, then do not go so much data through the USB controller, so still have USB resources for your mouse.

Here you can find out more about USB graphics cards (this also applies to MacOS in principle)

There's -------------:

With the help of a USB graphic card, you can retrofit and expand your laptop. The graphics card is connected externally via a USB cable to the laptop, an installation is not necessary for this. To ensure proper functionality your laptop should have at least USB 2.0 ports, even better would be USB 3.0. With USB 2.0, a USB graphics card would not be suitable for games.
