Ps4 controller only glows orange briefly when charging?

Dear community,

I recently became the owner of a ps4 controller which I only use on a PC. I plugged the controller into a normal socket using the charging cable. At the beginning the controller flashed orange briefly but then the light went out.
Is that normal I thought the controller glows orange when charging or does everything fit?

I used the power adapter of my mobile phone charger cable that has 2 amps

The PS4 controller needs 800ma

So that's too much with the mobile phone power supply and the power supplies are quick chargers by default i.e. Travel charging cables that charge faster and the controller can't do that.

That means the controller is scrap?
