Which bandwidth with DSL contract?

I and my partner are moving into our first apartment together next week. Now it is time to conclude a DSL contract. Now my question, we both like to gamble and use the internet at the same time. Is a 100 mbit line enough or do you need a 250 mbit line here? I currently still live with my mother and here I find it difficult to cope with a 50mbit line, gamble on the PS4 from time to time and it becomes difficult with the WLAN, I have to play with LAN… Is the 250mbit line worth the price or? Is the 100mbit line enough?

Anyone who plays with Wi-Fi is not a gamer either. He just wants to play a bit on the internet.

Do not know why you have problems with a 50 line. You're doing a little too much then. I even stream on the side with a 50s, or I have 10 uploads. Sufficient for me, but also don't need 4K upload and nonsense.

If you both want to stream at the same time, 250 would be pretty good.

Not everyone can (have) laid a LAN cable because, for example, a certain structural situation does not make it possible.

Wi-Fi is also not totally bad, as long as you connect to the network with ac or ax. The ping doesn't change that much, maybe you have a 1-2ms higher ping.

Well, with direct online gaming, a 6k line is sufficient in most games.

You probably have more problems with the ping. Would recommend at least a 100k line, because 50k can be scarce with several users, you don't necessarily just play, but maybe stream VoD content, for example.

You should also make a contract with Telekom, with other providers (many who use the red provider certainly know it) you often have some strange problems (for example no GTA V because of IPv6 DS-Lite).

Hello timmy7770, it is much more interesting: What is technically possible at your new address? Hopefully you have already checked that in advance. Otherwise I can join TechPech1984. LAN is always preferable.

At 250 you need HD streaming more than 6 devices or something. 100 Mbit / s is sufficient

What is important is the final line. This means that you should be connected to the router via a LAN cable if possible, because that is where most of the bandwidth can be lost with wireless connections
