My room is one floor above the WLAN box, which is the latest from Fritz! Box is and we're under contract with Unitymedia. I even have old Fritz! Box 7490 converted as an amplifier, because I only had an upload speed of 1Mbit and a maximum download speed of 10Mbits. Now I have a download speed of maximum 25Mbits and upload 3Mbits. I've tried almost everything, but nothing changes.
Could be that the wall is too thick / a certain fabric is installed which strongly dampens the Wi-Fi signal
The house I live in is almost 100 years old and as far as I know, wood was mostly used for construction, you can hear that too. The router is also in the hallway, where the signal only has to go through a wall?
The answer is in the first sentence - Wi-Fi!
just buy Devolo - honestly - too often the same problem from your own experience best solution. Devolo. → is not Wi-Fi…
I couldn't think of anything now. Otherwise you can use powerline (googles if you don't know)
I just googled that and have to say I'm surprised that I don't even know that. But still it doesn't help me with my problem… 😫
Please be happy and good luck!
Yes, if you have a 300th line, then 10% upload. I.e. About 30 Mbit upload. If there are a lot of people in the WLAN, there's not much left of the Up.
You can prioritize your PS in the Fritzbox. Then the most bandwidth remains for your PS.
Or you can order extra upload bandwidth from Unitymedia. But that costs more.
I try to prioritize my horsepower.
Wood is not a problem with Wi-Fi - stone well, but bad is metal and worst of all water → Aka floor heating. - Hope this helps a little.
We have no floor heating (unfortunately.) But thanks anyway.
