The WLAN reception in my room is relatively good with the playstation 4 and only 1 bar with my mobile phone and PC.
Youtube and Google on mobile are also doing very well. Pages like Google and Youtube only load on the PC for ages. Signal strength is around 50%. Wi-Fi reception with my Wi-Fi adapter is only 14%.
Do I therefore need a Wi-Fi amplifier?
WLAN antenna or repeater.
Better LAN cable.

There are no Wi-Fi amplifiers. The devices, which are sometimes referred to as this, are WLAN repeaters. They have side effects because they include: B. Halve the data rate. A repeater must be positioned so close to the wireless router that it has very good reception from the router. The range of the WLAN may therefore not increase as much as hoped.
Then I'll get a repeater. But why could it be that the cell phone has very good reception in the upper room, but the PC has only one weakness…
I would guess that it's up to the recipient. What kind of WLAN card do you have? If that's a card built into the PC: Look where the antenna is. Probably somewhere under the desk in the corner. How should the reception be good? You can try buying a Wi-Fi stick and positioning it better with a USB extension cable. That should be significantly cheaper than a repeater.
