PS4 too loud, which mode to choose?

Which mode makes my PS4 quieter again and does NOT delete all files or something?

I can't tell you what is happening on a technical level step by step at point 5. You keep your data, games, saved games etc. And nothing will be deleted.

My PS4pro became a bit quieter as a result, but was slower for the first few hours of play than usual, but don't worry, the problem will subside.

To get your PS4 quieter in the long run, you should clean the inside and replace the thermal paste.

A loud PS4 is more likely to indicate that there's a lot of dust in the console and on the fan. The most effective would be to open the Playstation, remove the dust and, most importantly, apply new thermal paste.

I applied the MX-4 to mine, and the playsi has been whisper-quiet since then 😁. Well, what is meant by quiet at least from the playsi. But much better than the jet jet taking off 🤣
