Nope… You have to sign a contract to be able to use the internet.
You have to ask your landlord what kind of internet connection is available at the house. Depending on this, you have to conclude a contract with an internet service provider that enables you to access the internet in the first place. They will probably also provide you with appropriate devices and you can either connect them yourself or have a technician come for it.
After you have signed a contract with a provider, you will be sent a modem which you can then connect to the cable or DSL connection.
You may have to configure this first, but there are instructions from the provider.
