Hello first for a week now my cell phone shows me a full WLAN display, the data speed I checked online and is around 40 Mbits / s download and 8 Mbits / s upload speed which is actually not too bad but now the strange, because I can't really surf the web, I can't load many pages including news, Reddit but also not Wikipedia articles or other pages, well most at least sometimes it works and googel always works perfectly. Upday messages also work on mobile phones, games that require internet connection, snap chat and also netflix do not work, YouTube, whatsapp and Facebook work wonderfully without waiting. It is also very strange that every other internet-capable device (Nintendo switch, Playstation 4) can connect to the router but can't connect to the internet. Sometimes an exclamation mark appears on the Wi-Fi symbol, then it usually works for 2 - 3 min. No internet at all or I have to switch my cell phone off and on again. Normally I would reset the router, but it is in the apartment of a neighbor who is far away from his family, precisely because of Corona, and I do not have access to his apartment (living in a dorm).
Strangely, everything works wonderfully with the mobile network even when I give hotspot, even though the connection tested is many times smaller than that of the Wi-Fi. I really don't know how to help myself anymore. Does anyone have suggestions for a solution or perhaps knows the cause?
Because of the corona many people stay at home, the schools are closed and most adults have got a home office. This means that the Internet is used more and thus more busy. Germany is in last place when it comes to Internet quality. So YouTube & co slowed the loading time of the pages so that the pages are not used. That's why YouTube doesn't have the videos in such good quality.
