Moin, I noticed with the HDR setting under PS5 that my television (Phillips 8105 58 inch, 2020 model) should not support 4k and HDR zsm, only 4k pure or with HDR, but resolution at 1080p…
Can you handle something like that so that you still have 4k with HDR?
I guess with performance mode
Not at the moment, as the PS5 can't. Since Sony did not implement HDMI 2.1 properly, only 32 Gbps are possible, which is not enough.
So may I understand that it will be fixed with the next update? Plus, I had other HDMI cables on it before and this was the same case, even though it is the best HDMI cable on the Amazon market
No, it could be a hardware problem or a software problem. Nobody knows. As of now it is not possible, only Sony knows if it will eventually work.
This is independent of the cable and is due to the port or the implementation of HDMI.
Saumies is that, would really like to max out 4k with HDR on PS5.
Is only possible with a PC until now.
Don't think the PS5 could have done that either. Angry tongues would say that is why.
