The Ps5 is not yet available in stores. Do you know when it was the case with the Ps4? It was released on November 15th, 2013.

There wasn't even such a rush for Ps4, and there was also less production
The PS5 is currently sold out and sometimes there are waves where you might be able to get one. However, due to the pandemic, it would not be sold in stores anyway because otherwise too many would go to the stores. It's hard to compare it to the launch of the PS4 as it was often sold normally in stores. It is currently difficult to say when the PS5 will normally be available in stores.
