Connect PS4 to hidden Wi-Fi. How does that not work?

The following:
I want to connect my PS4 to a hidden network from my friend.

So I go to Set up Internet connection → Use WLAN → Simple → Then, since the network is not suggested, click "Set up manually"

And from there it starts. There's now e.g. Set up manually or use WPS PIN method.
In any case, the network can of course be found and the PW is also assumed, but I can't establish a real Internet connection.

In the network check, the attempt always fails with the IP address.

I let the IP choose automatically but also entered one manually. (192.168.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 I left the rest to 0).
In any case, I'm completely overwhelmed.
I don't know where I'm doing something wrong, of course I've already tried all the variations. Later I'm asked about MTU, proxy servers and all that.
I don't even know what that is -.- "

Is there someone with a technical affinity who can save our Sunday evening with brief instructions?

We thank you!

Di

Possibly. Does the admin have to release the Fritzbox for the end device first. Depending on how it was set.

OK. Sounds complicated. We have a Mac but without a LAN socket.

Can you do something with it?

Di

🤷🏼♂️🤣
