I know that the wave started in Germany around 2007/2008. But is it still worth it? Or have most people switched to Twitch and Live Steams?
The let's plays where you play through a game from beginning to end are death.
As one user wrote below, the Classic Lets Plays are TOD. However, from time to time I like to watch some and general game plays on YouTube. Gronkh had done a lot there.
But there are still Let's Players who play games through from start to finish, even 100%. For example Domtendo or Letsplaymarkus, both of which I like to watch.
I actually thought that Let's Plays started around 2009, but of course I could be wrong.
At least I still like to watch Let's Plays, mainly by Domtendo and Letsplaymarkus, even if the two are actually no longer on good terms.
It's true that many live streams on Twitch because YouTube has just gotten worse and more unfair over time.
I'm still watching some lets plays.
