A friend of mine has WOW Classic and plays with a private server that is not from Blizzard. He owns the old version as well as BFA. He wants to play Twitch WOW Classic games with the Private Server. Since this year the Classic comes back and he has changed the version yes with the server, since Blizzard has never planned the game on other servers that are not from Blizzard. What does the legal situation look like?
He can do, he is not the only one
Twitch does not ban the afaik, but if possible he should not stream with both accounts (PServer and Offi) on the same Twitch account, otherwise he may loose his official account faster than he likes. The fact that Blizzard soon offers itself Classic Server changes the whole but nothing.
The exact legal situation, I do not know but large streamer WoW private server may not stream. As far as I know but not because of Twitch but because of Blizzard.
Small streamers are often ignored, but a streamer like Sodapoppin has often mentioned that he is not allowed to stream private servers, otherwise he is spellbound, so he is currently gambling on "WoW Netherwing's" private server only offline even though he would love to stream it.
