I would like to upgrade my PC from an i7 4790k to an AMD Ryzen for around 350 euro.
At the moment I can play games at 1080p and 144hz, but it is not enough to stream and the old Intel runs permanently at almost 80 ° C despite a good cooler (because the dirt from Intel is not soldered).
Currently I would use a Ryzen 5 2600 + Maimboard and 16GB RAM to upgrade (about 300 euro), but wonder if the 2600 has enough power to stream on Twitch and still has enough power in games.
Clear.
The upgrade doesn't do anything… Yes you can stream but you will have less FPS! If you dare to try to decapitate your cpu and then use liquid metal as a heat conductor (own risk). Or buy a really fat fan (50 euro)
Whoever describes intel as dirt should always question himself
That's not true! It would get significantly more FPS because the Ryzen is perfect for multi tasking and has more power than the intel
Intel is dirty, at least the prices and the customer friendliness
The benchmark side says the i7 is 7% better. Hehe fits…
and even only with i7 @ 4.0ghz. If it claps up a proper cooling and overclocked then the i7 is all the stronger
Let me guess you're looking at user benchmarks…
Yes I do. No, I'm not an intel fanboy
Intel is currently dirty (prices, hardly any additional performance, every generation of new sockets, bad marketing foils…
User benchmark, can no longer be used as a CPU comparison. Google times "UserBenchmark in favor of Intel"
Since the multithreaded performance is hardly counted anymore (here amd is particularly strong), only the single core performance (intel) is predominant.
Ah ok… I didn't know
Power consumption is also an issue
