What are bits, raids, hosts, merch ect. On twitch? Can someone explain this to me?

Bits are a virtual commodity that you can buy on Twitch. They allow you to support and encourage streamers. You can also use them in chats as animated emoticons to grab attention, get recognition through badges, leaderboards and confirmation from streamers, and they even give you loot during special esports events like Overwatch League Cheering. Bits also allow you to chat in rooms that are only intended for subscribers. 1 bit is the equivalent of 1 cent.

With raids, streamers forward their viewers to another live channel towards the end of their stream in order to present it to them in an entertaining way.

Channel raiding is an excellent way to bring new viewers to other streamers

Host mode is a channel feature available to all users across the website. Host mode allows all broadcasters to host a live broadcast from another channel on their own channel page without changing their chat. This exposes viewers to content of your choice while simultaneously interacting with you in the chat room. Each broadcaster can host a different channel, all channels can be hosted.
