The thing about twitch is that the more spectators you have, the more you get on. There's such a ranking. Therefore I would ask friends / acquaintances if they can just let the stream run silently in the background. This increases the likelihood of being discovered by new viewers.
Or you have multiple devices and use fake accounts to watch the stream😂 if you absolutely want to. Maybe you can also make it on e.g. Twitter you build a fan base and then just forward to Twitch.
Depends on the game and the extent to which viewers can participate, for example in Mario Maker 2. If the viewer can send in his levels and watch how they are gambled, you will find spectators quickly even as a beginner. For other games you need either character or skill, or both. But in the beginning 0-5.
