I've been on Twitch recently and I'm a fan of the emotes. I don't want to invest any money in Twitch. So far I've always got the emotes with the channel points (with Gronkh "Goins"). Unfortunately they are gone with every new stream. I also have an account and watch alternately on 3 devices - is it perhaps that?
Could it be that the emotes are only temporary and that I have to fetch them again with each stream?
The emotes that you get with the channel points are only active for 24 hours. After that you don't have it anymore. In order to be able to use the emotes for 30 days, you have to leave a sub there for better or worse.

The emotes you get with the coins are ALWAYS available for 24 hours. Also in other streams normally. But there's "Twitch Prime" with which you can connect and e.g. Subben at Gronkh. Then you have no advertising with him and ALL emotes
