What speaks against Twitch to introduce video on demand?

I think I speak for most that it would be a dear wish of all the Twitch community that FINALLY video on demand will be introduced. But what's the problem? Why is there still no video on demand on Twitch? Why is it?

They would earn billions with it and possibly YouTube would go into the ground. Even if the time on YouTube was a nice one, I think most of them will switch to Twitch. Generally, I have never understood why streams that are more than 1 month ago are simply removed from the system. YouTube also manages to leave videos AND streams on the platform. Of course there are also videos that are 10 years old and only 3 views have been deleted. But what is Twitch waiting for?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't like YouTube. I myself spend about 2-4 hours there. And I would also find it a shame if the YouTube era comes to an end. Only I still can't get it. That would be the opportunity for Twitch.

Please clarify me if you know more and also like to correct me if you disagree.
