Hi folks I just streamed on Twitch and now after the stream the followers fly in just so, even though it's offline. What can that be?

I switched off the stream and in the minutes after that the followers increased without end. The only thing my buddy and I did was advertise on Instagram with certain hashtags but nothing was noticed during the stream. Does anyone know why that is or why?
