Not really. A Ryzen 7 would be more suitable for streaming.
For a 2600 Ryzen, I would wait for the new CPUs from AMD, which should probably appear at the end of 2020.
But then I think of a new base.
I doubt that, AMD supports its sockets for a very long time. AM4 will continue to be used. AM4+ should come in 2-3 years. And only in the foreseeable future AM5.
Ryzen 4000 may come on the AM4, but the ones after that are guaranteed to come with AM5 with DDR5 support.
I strongly doubt, as I said. Also don't forget AM4+, AMD will surely introduce this intermediate socket again.
AMD's statement was that every Ryzen (thread ripper of course not) will fit on every AM4 board. If something new comes, it is probably no longer a Ryzen.
