Be as active as possible (preferably at times when only a few people are streaming). Talk a lot, respond to the chat, ensure the right audio quality.
Sometimes I only stream games that aren't really well known. (30-50 viewers in total, from all streams) So as an example, games like: Star Trek Online.
I do not actively stream, only now and then. By. Spectators 1- 3. Highest 7 (Simultaneously).
Luckily I have viewers who are active in the chat and give feedback.
Audio quality is more important than picture quality. There's radio but no silent films either.
Don't plan your stream through, just let it all seem spontaneous and relaxed
Listen to the audience, don't go your own way, but do what the audience wants if possible. Of course you only go as far as necessary!
I stream regularly, e.g. I stream Not regularly because I still have school or am not always at home.
Stream different games for variety, but 1 stream 1 game!
Even if overlays are beautiful, they are not always appropriate. E.g. Would I play story games without an overlay so as not to obscure the gameplay with unimportant information. For shooters this is e.g. More beautiful with overlay.
Don't make racial or inappropriate jokes. It's not all funny what you find funny!
Yes, those are my main criteria, but I don't adhere to all of them myself.
