I need a new graphics card.
Since I'm not very familiar with Nvidia, because I always had an AMD graphics card, I ask you for your help.
It is said to be an Nvidia graphics card because I only had problems with my RX Vega 56.
I'm not sure whether the 100 euro between an RTX 2060 and a GTX 1660 is super worth it.
And what is the price performance best Nvidia graphics card between 150-300 euro.
You should be able to stream Fortnite (on Twitch) with at least 140 FPS.
Wait for the new ones from AMD coming soon
If you want to spend a maximum of 300 euro then take the GTX 1080 which is used for 330 euro over the table on eBay
Really now? When
The rtx 2060.
Probably by the end of the year or so
And Nvidia maybe even in September
How urgent is the new acquisition? If you can still bear it with your old one, I can currently advise you to wait a bit until the new generation of NVIDIA and AMD is on the market.
Due to Corona, the release of the new generation of NVIDIA (Ampere) has been postponed, originally June was indicated as a possible sales start. Due to Corona, however, various trade fairs have been postponed and thus the release. Autumn is currently targeted and this is practically on the doorstep.
A new generation (BigNavi) is also coming onto the market at AMD this year and is expected by the end of the year at the latest. A release is most likely at the beginning of November because the American Christmas business also starts here and that is of course an option. October would also still be possible.
The performance of these new cards is currently hotly debated, many assume that the BigNavi will finally heat up NVIDIA properly, but there are also voices that make the performance of the new generation lower. But as far as the price / performance is concerned, you are almost guaranteed to drive the best at AMD.
In both cases, it would definitely be worth waiting for a new purchase, either you choose the new generation, or you go for the current generation, which will then be cheaper. If you don't shy away from used GPUs, you will be able to purchase a very powerful GPU with your budget, simply because the second-hand market will be saturated with powerful GPUs by the time the new generations are released.
So unless you are absolutely dependent on installing a new GPU immediately, you can consider waiting a little longer and then making a direct comparison between the two manufacturers when test reports appear.
The thing is that I can't gamble at all at the moment because my old card is completely unusable… That's why I think I'll buy a Gtx 1660 super for 213 euro at mindfactory…
