Huhu. I have recently had the problem that my games are laggy, even though I have more than 100 fps. I have a 60hz monitor which is funny. In games like Minecraft, I get numbers between 400 and 700 fps. Nevertheless, my game is somehow and I think I have "Tearing" if that's the name. I mean this wave that goes over the screen.
Unfortunately, I do not know why the problem lies. It may be due to my graphics card, my processor, my memory, my HDD and the monitor I think. Graphics card because I'm taking on Twitch streaming and the new NVENC encoder that loads the VRAM. As a processor, I have an i5-6600 already a few years on the hump. I have only 8 GB RAM and have a 1TB HDD which has caused me many problems lately. My 1080p monitor is already felt age old.
My drivers are up to date and Windows is also up to date.
Occurrence may be the problem I feel when I:
-Streamlabs OBS open
- Too many tabs in the browser
Another thing I can't think of.
I also suspect that it may be the graphics driver or the Windows Update, because I had problems after the updates again and again with performance etc.
Would be nice if someone could help me, as it is not pleasant to play with it.
Turn off V-sync and try it if it's better. Have a similar setup as you have described and I could not stream that would be too slow for me. Not from the specs but then the games would not run smoothly anymore. Otherwise, lend yourself from a colleague a 120 or 144hz monitor and look how the games can handle the higher Hertz number, maybe it is really on the monitor
VSync is already out. Do you want to stream? Then I can send you a few settings. Have helped in the last few days 2 friends and now have a good stream.
At that time I would like to be streamed right now I hardly use my PC but thanks anyway
You will always have Tearing if you do not have a screen equipped with Freesynk or Gsynk, or if you have disabled vsynk because it will occur immediately if the FPS and refresh rate of the screen are not the same.
to the unflatter feeling I would say that these are the frametimes which are not quite stable -> this occurs when you play in the CPU limit and also stress the CPU through stream, browser and other software which needs a bit of CPU power - -> Your old i5 with 4 cores will eventually become too weak ;-)
