What can I expect from a laptop for 600-800 euro?
I've been looking for a laptop for the university, which I need not only for office work but also for movies, netflix, twitch, YouTube and unfortunately have little idea of what I need for it.
Would be cool if you could help me and tell me what a laptop in the price segment should bring with it all. I'm aware that there are also cheaper alternatives, but the appearance and the processing also play a small role.
In the price segment, you can definitely expect to be able to run office applications and of course to come to the Internet to stream Netflix, etc.
If you mean "movies" to be able to play DVDs, then pay attention to a corresponding drive, many laptops do not have this anymore.
For the university you should also have enough USB ports and a "normal" eighth HDMI port (there are also these micro or mini-HDMI ports, but since it takes then quickly an adapter that one in college do not always has to hand).
As for the exact technical specifications, you'd better wait for answers from people who are more knowledgeable than me. I basically think that you can't do too much wrong if you only need office and internet.
Especially with Office applications and generally to extend the fun with your laptop necessarily on an SSD with at least 256gb or better 500gb pay attention. The cheap laptops often have only HDDs that beat you after a pretty good deal of cream. At 600-800 euro you can also count on an i5 or i3, which pack your requirements with flying colors I think. You do not seem to need a dedicated graphics card, so your laptop can stay flat but fast. You can also filter on geizhals.de. First, it depends on the brand. There are brands whose laptops are so bad that you can't even play old games fluently. I have a laptop of the brand "VAIO". It cost 699 euro. On it even the LS19 runs smoothly. If you are looking for a laptop that gives you good performance then look no further than VAIO laptops with Windows 7 Home Premium. For example, A laptop from the brand "ASUS" costs a lot of money and then offers you very poor performance.
