Moin friends,
During a stream (on twitch) I got an iron screwdriver into the USB plug for about 1 sec. After that, the PC immediately shut down. At the back of the PC are even more USB plug where 2 out of 4 still work. Währe really nice if you knew what's going on there.
It may well be that a short was fabricated. Since you never know exactly if it has caught the MoBo or just the voltage is defective in the power supply.
The power supply can be with an ATX power supply tester Check that there are 2 versions (see picture)
If the power supply is tested correctly, it can only have caught the MoBo.
Thank you how can you send pictures?
Not at all. Write a new answer then you can insert images here and synonymous limited only by the capacity and size. Or if you are a questioner you could still the question a while (time) edit.
But does not use testing, testing. Naacher is smarter and knows more!
At most, where else upload. https://prnt.sc for example.
My first question: How can a screwdriver directly into a USB port come? You really need a lot of bad luck…
Well. What is certain is that you have caused a short circuit. What exactly harmed you can't say. I would tap on the power supply. If that has any damage, the rest of the PC should not work either. Whatever the case may be, your motherboard / motherboard (if it's what you want) has been damaged. Other components, such as hard drive, I exclude. I think, you should try without a clue nothing great.
Emergency solution but that is often not displayed correctly
I used it in the past, but it does not work anymore nowadays.
Own experience always convinces of the application.
To each his own.
So first it's a screwdriver!
And I could imagine that an overcurrent device because Pc has driven down before major damage. That the two USB interfaces on the back side do not work together may be with it but does not have to be
