Play music on twitch stream allowed?

Uploading a video of copyrighted music to YouTube is not the best idea. But is copyright also a big topic on Twitch? Because I often see streamers playing their entire Spotify playlist that is full of copyrighted music.

You are only allowed to do that if you buy the rights for it, that is what most of the big streamers do. Otherwise you have to stick to copyright-free music.
