Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, Tellonym…

More and more apps that we find totally awesome and that we have to have ourselves and then end up becoming dependent on them… Sure, a lot of them are fun, but we're becoming more and more addicted and dependent on our mobile phones / apps. We already give so much price from ourselves and to be honest it's getting more and more!

How do you feel about it? Do you think that can still be called living in several years?!

All opinions count;))

Ni

This is not a life but an addiction, unfortunately

Don't overdo it now.

Of course life changes, but it's still a life.

The problem with getting addicted to it is overstimulation. You are constantly entertained online and constantly have stimuli to deal with and you are distracted from your own thoughts.
You get used to it and as soon as you no longer have this full-time job in mind you get bored. That is why we use free time in which we have nothing to do with keeping our brain busy with social media.

Of course, this becomes an addiction at some point.

Especially because it becomes a habit, and it is difficult to get rid of it.

You should just take care of yourself and be able to reflect on your own behavior.

I have to say I'm just addicted to Instagram and Tik Tok, I could do without the rest in an emergency, so your list is very exaggerated at the beginning.

I only know the fear of missing out on myself. I have to check the apps regularly so I see if there are new notifications, because I have done this so often through boredom that I can no longer do without. After a long day on the phone, I just have to check out new things. That's the only thing that really bothers me.

Otherwise, social media is often an asset (if you use it responsibly) and you should always be careful how much of yourself you are giving away.

I also have a cell phone, but I don't use any of the above.

I listed it because everyone likes something different, not because everyone uses everything and is dependent on it…

Interesting topic. There's a lot more to social media than you think. The apps are free, anyone can simply download something like Instagram. But how do these companies still achieve billions in profits? Through advertisements. We don't pay with money on social media, but we do pay with information. Companies like Google or Facebook create precise profiles of every user. You can see how long he's been online, which pictures he likes, how long he looks at each picture, which pictures he looks at often or when he goes offline and much more. As a result, these companies know exactly what we like and what we don't, when we get sad, what we look like, what our preferences are, what political direction we have, when we're happy, etc. This way they know which advertising we might like. That might sound harmless at first, but it isn't at all. This enables groups of people to be manipulated in a targeted manner. Incidentally, this was also done in the 2016 Trump election. Everyone gets to see exactly what they want to see. But that's not good at all. Sometimes you just have to learn the truth and accept it. A current example is Corona. There are so many movements out there, all of which insist they are right. Such people then "research" via Facebook or similar, which of course is not at all serious. Facebook then of course knows how this person is set and shows another anti-corona advertisement, and so it goes on and on. I think all of this is very dangerous as it will divide our society. I'm in favor of our data being taxed

I grew up without this media, back then television was just as demoned as social media are now.

Without a doubt, you can become dependent and, for example, feel lonely or bad if there are not enough likes or insensitive comments.

It is difficult for younger people who have grown up with it, because it was also new for the parents and they did not know how to prepare their child for it or how to properly accompany it.

Personally, I also use some social media, but it is not very important to me. But first you have to consciously classify and learn.

You can switch off, you don't have to comment, nothing is bad if it doesn't get a lot of likes. It's just entertainment, nothing else. We know why we're being shown what. So much basic knowledge is required.

And every real person present is more important than a phone call. Every call is more important than WhatsApp. Every WhatsApp is more important than social media.

Social media can be used, but it is of secondary importance. You can also leave the house without a cell phone. Then you live in the here and now. You can put your cell phone away for hours and ignore it.

Yes, you reveal a lot and you are purposefully courted. It actually affects everyone. But you can remain critical and try different things.

Back then, it wasn't television to blame if we became "dull" and today it's not social media.

Our personal approach to everything is decisive. Each of us always has a choice. Everyone should be aware of this.
