Do you get in trouble singing songs on Twitch?

Heard you are (temporarily?) Being banned - but that doesn't make any sense. But maybe America sees that. Counterpart to GEMA a little different.

At YT, countless songs also sing that are protected by copyright, don't they? So far I thought you can sing any song and then it's your own interpretation of it and it's okay as long as you don't earn any money with it (otherwise you would need a license).

As far as I know, for a while now on Twitch you can't just let any copyrighted songs in the background (in films, documentaries, games [?]) Run like that - a streamer that I follow is usually very careful noticed me. One of them mentioned singing a while ago and that you could get into trouble, but doesn't know if it's true.

Om

If you do not sing songs, but if you play one from e.g. Youtube or Spotify then it violates the guidelines.

No, the places where copyrighted music is playing will be muted after the stream on Twitch (you can set it to be uploaded as a video on Twitch)
