PS4 trigger softer than XBox One trigger (controller)?

I bought a used PS4 controller (only ever had an Xbox controller). With the controller, the triggers feel a little weird. They are so "soft" as if the nib is a bit worn out. The triggers go all the way up… Just very soft and without much pressure. Is that normal with Playstation? So far, I've only ever used Xbox One controllers, which require a lot of pressure.

Yes that is normal.

It's sad that so many prefer the Playstation controller, although the XBOX controller is worlds better
