My big thin LG TV does not have 4k. Do I have to buy a 4k TV or is there a cheap little device with cable somehow that gives my TV 4k? I want to play xbox one with 4k graphics. Please help me people. I'm Hartz 4, I can't afford such a TV with 4k, is too expensive for me.

No, that will not work.
4k denotes the number of pixels.
Each display has a certain number of permanently installed pixels. At 4k, that's 4096 x 2160 = 8,847,360 pixels. To put it simply, each dot is a light-emitting diode that can assume one of three colors.
So if the television does not have 8.85 million LEDs, then the TV can't display 8.85 million pixels because they simply do not exist and no device in the world can create them later.
