CPU overloaded very quickly?

Today I wanted to record from the XBox to the laptop via the capture card, but unfortunately I have to find out that the load on the CPU is around 99% simply by opening OBS. Also only have 2 core. Can this be? Is there still a way I can record with Full HD and 30fps through this laptop?

I'm sorry, don't know anything about laptops. All I can tell you is that I have an Acer Aspire ES17 - ES1-731-C8VZ.

Can I somehow relieve the CPU?

I recommend a standalone capture card that doesn't require a PC. Because laptops with weak hardware are generally prone to this. These standalone capture cards only need a simple USB memory stick or a micro SD card to save recorded videos. However, the price starts at least from € 100. I had one myself and was never disappointed. I would like to recommend a newer one that I want to buy, but I don't think you would be willing to pay the price for it.
