You mean if you can transfer your account including gamerscore from the Xbox One to the Xbox Series console? Of course it works. Also works the other way around. This is even possible from the Xbox 360 or Xbox 360. Your account is only your identification as a user, which you can use on all 3 different Xbox consoles, on a Windows 10 PC and in games on other systems, such as Minecraft on Android, IOS, Nintendo Switch and the PS4. Only the very old Xbox from 2001 is left out, because 1. It had a different Xbox Live infrastructure, and 2. - based on "had" that the first Xbox Live was discontinued in 2009-2010 and the first Xbox was no longer online is.
