Can you cancel your Xbox Game Pass monthly?

Ultimate is currently available for 1 euro, but why do I have to pay a balance when I already have 2.01 euro in the account? Or is the offer only valid if I book the subscription for 2 or more months? Can someone please enlighten me? & the subscription can be canceled on a monthly basis
