I would like to buy an Xbox one s and my question is whether I can watch films in 4k on a 7 year old Full HD television thanks to the xbox one s?
It depends on the TV. If the TV does not support 4K, it can't display 4K. You can use any console that supports 4K or no 4K.

If the screen does not support 4K resolution, it does nothing.
No, because the resolution of your TV is only 1080p or maybe only 720p. You can of course still play a 4K Blu-ray with your Xbox One X, it will be scaled down to your resolution. This can even bring advantages in terms of edge and detail sharpness.
