I would like to know whether it is worth using an Asus ROG Swift PG278QR monitor for the Xbox Series S or whether an MSI optix g24 is also suitable for this.

ro

Personally, I would take the first one.

Un

Asus, because the quality performance of the Series S is not very high and I would recommend you to save your money with it. If you ever bought a PC, a Series X, or a PS5, I would definitely recommend the MSI.

Co

Does the Xbox get the 120fps out at 1440p?

ro

First of all, you have to find a game that supports 120 fps.
And even if the xbox doesn't manage that, you should still come up with more than enough to feel a difference.

Co

And what about the screen resolution? Is there a big difference between 1080p (msi) and the 1440p (asus)?

ro

Well, yes.
But I don't know what the Xbox will do with it.

Ke

Funny.

A 4K monitor is recommended for a Playstation 4 Pro, while weaker monitors are recommended for the Xbox Series S. Although the Xbox Series S is a lot stronger.

Ke

The Xbox platform is the console platform with the most 120fps games.

Un

Mimimimimimi… Your name says it all;) As you can clearly read there, I'm talking about the PS5.

Ke

Hmm However, it is only a 1080p console.

So from a purely technical point of view.

2K and 8K don't exist and 4K has endless problems on the PS5

ro

But doesn't that mean that the games he plays also make use of it.

Un

But the PS5 has 8k with 6ofps and 4k with 120fps.

Ke

That's true.

Ke

No! If you were to find out more, you would know that the 8K mode is still missing!

And 4K with 120fps are almost impossible on the Ps5

Un

Sorry my mistake, I meant it would come, but wait and see, it will come… By the way, we're not even on the topic now.

Ke

That was already meant with Freesync and 1440p with the Playstation 4 Pro and so far neither features are available.

Un

Ah, really? I didn't know that, although I think it should be possible with the PS5 - or not?

Ke

No, it is not possible with the Playstation 5! And it won't be possible either. Just like the AMD features. Freesync, ALLM, DirectX Raytracing, VRS & VRR, none of these features will be available on the Playstation 5, which doesn't really speak for a next-gen console, because most of these features are already available at Microsoft!
