Warranty period gone after three months?
I have a defective HDMI port on my SERIES S.
So I can only repair the thing or have it repaired, and I don't think I'm that good at repairing it.
Anyway, I just reported my XBOX SERIES S to support and had to fill out a form. With name phone number etc and then I was shown an offer:
"Outside the warranty period standard exchange (EUR 215.39)
Upon receipt of the defective device, an equivalent one will be sent to you. "
I've had the Xbox since mid-December, the warranty should be at least n year or I'm wrong.
I would not like to spend 215 euro for a broken HDMI port, it would be ridiculous.

The guarantee is always 6 months. Means you don't have to prove a lot. Simply inform Otto and have the damage repaired by the date in 3 weeks.
After a 1.5 year warranty comes. You have to prove that the cause of the damage / the damage itself existed from the time of manufacture. Yes, complain about a defective HDMI port. You can't insert a plug into the socket with normal force. You shouldn't do that by force.

I recommend repairing it at Microsoft. Microsoft's warranty is usually over one, maybe up to 2 years. The warranty for Meiner One X, for example, runs until the end of this year, even though it was bought by Saturn.
