Can you plug into an xbox one with a normal headset?

So I mean when I use xbox One and normal cellphone headphones (with micro!) I hear everyone but no one.

Now I want to buy a headset but do I need a special or a normal one from Media Markt or something? And how much does one go well? It's just about listening to others and being able to talk

A normal 1 jack headset will work! It is only important that you have to connect it to the controller!

Initially also had a Samsung cell phone headset. It worked great.

I have now switched to a gaming headset from Trust. That cost me 40 euro. But of course the sound is better and my colleagues at the party understand me better too.
