Is Xbox live Gold / RDO worth it?

Here I'm again with an RDO question… I would like to buy Xbox Live Gold, mainly for RDO and now I want to know if my progress in RDO would be lost when the subscription expires or if it is simply blocked until I renew the subscription. My second question is that Gold membership is generally worthwhile. I would be very happy to receive an answer.

1. Your scores will not be reset when your subscription expires, they will only be blocked as you mentioned. But will be activated when you subscribe to xbox Live.

2. Better buy the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you get Xbox Live Gold, the normal Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for the PC. This costs only 1 euro in the first month.
