I originally planned to build a PC for around 1100 euro to play games like the new Assassins Creed and the upcoming Cyberpunk2077, but now a good friend has told me that I should buy the new Xbox Series X from the Reason because I already have a PC with which I currently only play League of Legends and other non-performance demanding games. In addition, he said he would get them and a few other friends of mine have even pre-ordered them.
I just want to play the above games and others, I don't want to stream or do video editing. My current PC is enough for my school stuff but not for "crass" games
What would you choose in my situation? I'm just "afraid" that I will regret my purchase etc.
Oh, I think about that myself again and again.
Pc gamers are of the opinion that a Pc is cheaper in the long term. There's no platform change, the games are generally cheaper and you don't pay anything to play online. In addition, the games look awesome too. Gambling on the couch with the controller is also possible with the PC if you want.
Personally, I'm still undecided. For the next generation, however, I tend to have a PC because I need a powerful computer for work anyway, and that's the same.
That's always a personal question, personally I think the mouse and keyboard are also far superior to the controller, and that the things you can do with a pc on the side are practical, but if you're just playing an xbox is just as good, it becomes relative last a long time, as the games are constantly being optimized for you, but you will still lag behind in terms of performance after a while. You also have to know if you buy a lot of games, because the cheaper prices of a pc can be practical or which games you buy, i.e. Whether there are any that you can only play on one of the two platforms. Asking on the internet what others are suggesting is of no use, I think the PC is much better, but you might as well regret it in the end.
With a PC you have more options
What is built into your PC, so what graphics card do you have, how much RAM what processor and do you have an SSD or HDD
A Gt640 from Nvidia
16GB Ram
2 or 3 TB HDD
And any intel i5
Thought that I might get the Xbox to play great games and maybe get a better graphics card for my PC one day.
My tip would be to stay with your PC and just upgrade it to buy a new powerful graphics card and an SSD then you pay roughly 600 euro, but you have a powerful PC that you can also use for school or something.
And another advantage would be that you don't have to buy a new console after 6 years but can stay with your PC
