What would you buy an Xbox Series S or an Xbox Series X?

I bought the Series S when it was released and I'm absolutely satisfied.
- My TV has a 1080p resolution. Therefore I do not miss any 4k support and the lower performance is not a problem either.
- I don't play a lot of different games on Xbox. The 512GB memory is therefore absolutely sufficient for me.
- The fact that I can only buy games digitally doesn't bother me either. I mainly buy games that I wouldn't part with anyway, and when I try a new game, it's from Game Pass.
- The price was also more bearable and I like the design better. The Series X would not fit where my Series S currently stands.
Definitely the X because it is a bit unwise just to save 200 euro or to get a console more easily, on 2/3 of the performance (which you will definitely notice in a few years), 6 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD storage and a 4K Blu-ray drive (with which you also have a larger selection of games) to do without. These many advantages that an Xbox Series X brings are worth more than 200 euro extra (because a good Blu-ray drive plus good 512 GB SSD storage alone costs a good bit more than 200 euro and, as I said, you get it then the bigger RAM and the 3 times more powerful performance)
That's why I would advise anyone against buying the Xbox Series S just because they can't get an X. Then wait a little longer and have fun with your console for a lot longer

If you were to take a look at Microsoft's Series S website, you would see why it is not sold out.
You can buy a Series S from Microsoft, unlike the Series X or Sony PS5.
The demand won't be that high, but I think there are enough consumers for the Series S who use it either as a second console or an expensive media player (I have it for the latter). In addition, it will probably be quite popular as a gift.

Not every 512 GB SSD is created equal. 50 Euro 512 GB SSDs have much lower read and write rates than those in the Xbox. The Xbox SSD is more comparable to an SSD in the 100 euro range. It's exactly the same with Blue-Ray players, you can only get a good one for just 100 euro
