I currently have an Xbox one and would like to buy an Xbox one x. As the Xbox Series x comes out at the end of the year and I read the question everywhere whether the purchase of an x is still worthwhile, I'm a little unsure. The Xbox one was actually enough for me until the GTA sometimes runs smoothly online. The real thing that unsettles me is whether the Xbox one consoles will still be supported after the release of the x Series or what that means. Does that mean that I can't play Xbox one x after the release? Would I get it now? Or where's the catch?

I would not get it now, as the Series X will come out soon. The X continues to be supported, but is no longer in the spotlight.
Series x will have a lot more power, will be better for the future, the one x will most likely no longer be supported for new titles in 2021, but you can still play gta V until the console scratches off
The new Xbox will probably cost around 500 euro. I would save the additional tack because the console (Series X) is backwards compatible with all Xboxes (Original, 360, One). In addition, the performance is four times higher + "new" HDMI standard.
