I would like to try building a Gta 5 online map. So something like wall rides or something similar. (I play on Xbox). Now I would like to know how it works because I have no idea how it works. Please answer as exactly as possible how it works. For example, 1st step… 2nd step…
Step 1: think of something.
Step 2: (For pros) Note the coordinates of the prop and place the next one at a slight angle.
Step 3: Pay attention to physics, too inclined or too high can ruin the entire wall-ride event.
Step 4: testing, and damn often. A small stool and that can also destroy the entire event.
Step 5: Connect the probes with the collision. What would take the coordinates work off but would be far too coarse.
Step 6: Pay attention to shortcuts as this is unfair to legit drivers
Step 7: Consider the vehicle class, that if possible all classes have the same chances, which in turn means to test again very often.
Step 8: not too long, not too short. The perfect balance between short and long should exist.
That's it. You don't have to do more. If I went into more detail, the text box would probably be too small for that. But roughly speaking, the one described here is enough.
Thank you. I have another question. Do you know how to do colons. So that you have 2 spawn points that you can drive and for example drive 2 different paths. So if, for example, two friends play the map and one drives the right path and the other the left one.
You have to set a primary and a secondary checkpoint. However, these must not differ from each other for longer than 1 KM. Otherwise this function will be blocked until a primary path is made that is also 1 KM long.
OK thanks
Do you also happen to know how to put more elements? For me the Blaken is full with about 50 elements.
You have to take elements that don't need a lot of model memory.
Which are they? Because I always see videos of such blatant wall rides and they always felt 200 elements.
You have to decide for yourself, stunt ramps eat 1.5% model memory alone. Normal ramps only 0.75%. You have to find out for yourself how to build it. I can only give tips, no template.
