Connect XBOX One to the monitor?

I just got a monitor. Now I have connected the Xbox to the monitor, but there's no picture.

When I switch on the monitor there's 'No signal' and then goes out again. I checked everything. HDMI cable fits perfectly.

What can that be?

Did you switch the monitor to HDMI?

Plug the HDMI connector into the Xbox when connecting TV OUT and not with IN. Maybe it works.
