I bought an xbox one controller at media markt months ago. Would like to return it and get the new one from the series x. I still have box and receipt
No, you can't.
You have no right to complain about "I don't like it anymore".
Simply sell your current controller for little money on eBay and then buy your new controller.
Only on goodwill; you have no legal claim!
Exactly, 14 days exchange period in the market and online think even 28 days. But then it's really over. The latter is really a lot and I'm not sure anymore either
After a month you can forget about that. There's no exchange because I don't like it. In general, every exchange in the store is accompanied by a goodwill story. You have no right to it
The 28 days are only "legally" possible if you cancel on the 14th day, because from then on you have another 14 days to return the goods.
Otherwise, Media-Markt and co. Out of goodwill 30. Or 31-day deadlines, which are not anchored by law and can therefore be bound by additional conditions.
Not legally, I know that. But it's as regulated with them, as you say
Could have done within 14 days,
but several months and still traces of use, would you buy something like that?
14 days right of return
Since you bought the controller "months ago" as you say yourself, why should they take it back?
