As of now I would buy a Series S.
The new Series X, of course.
It's much more powerful, has a super fast SSD built in, so it's whisper-quiet, all in all, the better console.
Provided you also have a decent TV / monitor.
The only problem is availability. It's hard to get one right now.

It can only display a maximum of 1440p, but if that's enough, you also get a powerful console at a low price.
But remember you have no drive and only a small amount of memory which can be expanded.
If you are precise, it can even display 8ak, but then not natively.
That is clear but irrelevant.
My TV upscales 720p to UHD itself. No console is required for this.
