I downloaded Star Wars Bf2 today. Now it doesn't start.
I play on the Xbox one X.
When I open the game, it stays on the loading screen for a minute or so until it shows me that there were problems starting. When I then go to the main menu, my screen freezes (Xbox menu opens very slowly).
Restarting and switching it on and off do not help.
Has anyone ever had the same problem? Is there a solution?
Do a file repair.
If it doesn't exist under Xbox, only uninstall and reinstall it.
The only thing that really helps is a new installation.
Possibly also a hard reset of the console. Either hold down the start button longer when switching off or disconnect the console from the power for a few minutes.
Strangely enough, reinstalling does not work. The download will stop as soon as the game is ready to start. Then it doesn't go any further (other updates / downloads still work)
So it's not completely installed at all?
It's really strange.
If you uninstall it and do a hard reset before reinstalling?
And what do you save on, internally or externally?
I'll try the hard reset. I save internally, on the Xbox itself
It is not completely installed at all. The first time I installed it, it was 100% downloaded. Then I had to reinstall it as it wouldn't start. Now when you download it again it will be stopped again as soon as it is displayed as "ready to start" (I reinstalled it for the first time last night, same error)
Sorry I can't think of any more.
In the end, there's only support left.
I still have an idea.
The internal hard drive can also be reformatted via the console. But that would be the last resort.
Because on the one hand it is questionable whether that helps and on the other hand everything will of course be deleted.
Small update: after deleting not only the game but all of the associated data from my in-game profile (I already played the game a few months ago and then uninstalled it), it finally worked
I'm happy, then have fun. 👍
